I hope you all have enjoyed the Autumn weekend!
I enjoyed gathering around the fireplace with my family!
Autumn-time means fireplace gathering.

Greet, all so beautiful, of course you know I love your library. All of these are so charming and cozy, makes me want to go sit by a roaring fire!
ReplyDeleteWe ust lit our first wood stove of the season yesterday and while I love to cozy down I'm not looking forward to snow just yet. Your library is so beautiful and I like the fact you don't take yourself overly serious, love the painting above. Enjoy your week Greet!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Debra
Gorgeous post, Greet!
ReplyDeleteYou're right. It's time to get your friends, make a fire and it gets even better if we all drink a Belgian hot cocoa! ;-)
This post really makes me want to start doing it right here at home.... it's getting chilly here already!
Have a Blessed Week!

Hello Greet,
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit cold here in Michigan so I have yet another fire going this morning...and all of your pics are so inspiring...love your library with the gorgeous paneling and fireplace...
simply divine..
best,
maureen
Dear Greet, Thank you for another beautiful post. I'm pretty sure the photo with the Thai rain drum is a John Saladino interior. I hope that is helpful. Best regards, Ruth
ReplyDeleteHi Greet,
ReplyDeleteAll the fireplace pictures are so beautiful. We spent the weekend in Chicago where is was pretty cold. A fireplace would have been a nice addition.
Regards, Cindy
I love fires in the evening. Your library is the perfect place to settle in for a cozy time. Happy Autumn!
ReplyDeleteSuch incredibly welcome settings, thanks to these gorgeous fireplaces! I have had fireplaces in my last two homes (current one included) and have decided I don't ever want to live in one without one - they are just too important to me in setting a cozy mood this time of year and chasing away the winter blahs! Beautiulf post, Greet....:)
ReplyDeleteLovely as always Greet…makes me want to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday,
Amy
Just stumbled onto your blog! I am really smitten with you style! I am for sure becoming a new follower...be back soon for more xoxo!
ReplyDeleteI would take anyone of those fireplace seats and enjoy a good book and glass of wine! Fireplaces are wonderful for conversation or solitude!
ReplyDeleteNice, warm fire! Great pictures:)
ReplyDeleteGood morning blog sis,
ReplyDeleteYour library is my favorite. Well of course!
That first fireplace you are showing is also amazing. Look at the architecture. Very unique. Beautiful.

There really is nothing better than a roaring fire when the weather gets chilly and storms are on the horizon. Just love all this autumn sharing. Great post!
ReplyDeleteDankjewel voor deze heerlijke warme inspiratie !
ReplyDeleteDat kunnen we wel gebruiken nu het weer een stuk frisser en kouder wordt.
Groetjes Hennie
oh how i love inglenook fireplaces, gorgeous image! actually, each was enticing especially your library greet.
ReplyDeleteps; loved the 'cheeky' portrait above the fireplace which says to me you have a sense of fun

ReplyDeletei am not surprised at your attraction to the fire and a beautiful fireplace.
i am the same.

These are the most breathtaking fireplaces ever...In love with the first one, of course your library...I want that painting and Vicki Archer's is also a dream...they all are. Huge hugs from me to you. XO, Mona
ReplyDeleteDearest, your blog exudes loveliness but I have to say that THIS post is my favorite of all...Anita
ReplyDeleteAll of your images are lovely, but my favorite is your own beautiful library fireplace. What a fabulous painting above your fireplace!
ReplyDeleteMy next favorite is the one above your own, by Peter Pennoyer Architects.
I enjoy my fireplace so much, but unfortunately we don't have a way to get wood on a regular basis so we have not even had our chimney inspected to be sure that it is usable. So I have a small electric heater in it that has "flames". It is warm and welcoming at least.
Hugs, Cindy
I adore every single one of these gorgeous images. Even though it's not quite cool enough here yet, you're making me want to light a fire and grab a cozy throw!!
ReplyDeleteHello Greet,
ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful! But my favorite still remains the fireplace of your library.
Have a sumptuous week ;-)

DIE EERSTE FOTO IS ZO MOOI!!
ReplyDeleteWAT BEN IK HIER GEK OP!
IK BEN NU OOK MET DE MIJN BEZIG EN DE SCHOUW/MANTEL IS BIJ HELEMAAL KLAAR.
FIJNE WEEK,
MIRANDA
Though it is getting cooler and my wood has been delivered, I have yet to light a fire. After seeing what I'm missing...I am making it my mission this week to curl up with a cup of tea in front of a roaring fire!!!
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes!!
Elizabeth
Greet, we have to wait until November 15th to find out if our two fireplaces in our new apartment work or not! So your post was so bittersweet for me--I would love to have a fire roaring right now as we always do every evening usually. What gorgeous images. Merci, friend, as always!
ReplyDeleteGreet, hello from the Heartland of the United States. What a fantastic post! Your blog is beautiful, and I am loving following!

Hello Greet
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more welcoming than an open fire (outside people). I particularly love th library an could easily envision working and relaxing here.
Helen xx
Such wonderful examples! But I have to say your library steels the show!
ReplyDeleteI adore the painting over the mantle.
Also Vicky Archer's image. I am leaning to more colorful rooms, but these are so serene!
Just catching up here... Looking out the window of my office, it's raw, cold, rainy and the sky is a leaden gray. Just a typical late Fall day in New England. Your pictures warm me up!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
John
Beautiful post. Fireplaces are just so cozy and nostalgic. xx
ReplyDeleteTo me, there is nothing better than curling up in front of a fireplace with a good book and a steaming cup of hot chocolate! I love the images you chose, particularly the elengant warm rooms with the timber panelled walls!
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to get the natural Belgian look if you have Dutch blue and white tiles on your fireplace with a rather plain wood mantle? At the time, I was going for a French country look. I am seriously considering removing it and starting over with a stone mantle. If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know. This is my favorite blog!!
ReplyDeleteHi gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI can't read your posts without 'pinning' at least 50% of the photos to my Pinterest for future inspiration!! :)
I love your library - it's so warm, inviting and elegant all at the same time. Such wonderful balance of elements!
I also really like no 2 and no 9 - very nice indeed!
Hope you are all well down there. Sweden is slowly shifting from Autumn to Winter. The leaves are an explosion of colours though most of them are swirling around in the frosty winds. Snow is not too far off for sure.. Exciting!!
Warm hugs from the North.
xx Charlotta
I love this post; the photos themselves convey such warm and wonderful sense of home. Thank for sharing some beautiful inspiration! Hope you're doing well. Warmly, -susan
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collections of fireplace photos. Everything looks very ideal and great. The photo itself talks about a very warm and comforting place of a home.
ReplyDeleteI love these fireplace snaps. I want to create like this.
