Hello to everyone! I know it’s already a week ago I wrote my last blogpost! I am so sorry for that, but it is a very busy period in business for me. I hope you will understand?!
Today I show you some images of the inside of beautiful outbuildings and home extensions!
AND AT THE END OF THIS POST, I HAVE A GORGEOUS VIDEO TO SHARE WITH YOU!!! I AM EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!
But before watching the video, I hope you will enjoy the images.
The outbuilding or home extension is one of the most wonderful places to relax, the enjoy the Autumn sun and beautiful fall colors! So, it is a nice place to spend an Autumn weekend.
Whether you love to be alone, reading a good book, or whether you love to invite friends for an Autumn meal, an outbuilding or home extension is a gorgeous place to enjoy your Autumn weekend.
Notice the Autumn sun falling in this room.
Even fall colored furniture.
So nice to have a fire place in your outbuilding.
Ready for your dinner with friends?
Beautiful fall colors.
AND NOW ABOUT THE PROMISED VIDEO !
I am sure that a lot you, my readers and blogfriends, will remember the images on below, seen in Veranda, a few years ago.
They are all of the gorgeous house of our Belgian couturier Edouard Vermeulen. His fashion label is called Natan.
The house is called the “Rozenhout” estate. It is an 18th century country house, or “gentilhommière, situated in a glorious parkland.
In close collaboration with the Belgian architect Raymond Rombouts, the original house was improved and a pavilion added.
Edouard Vermeulen - himself an interior designer before he made his name in the world of haute couture – took care of the interior decoration : a timeless and subtle color palette, in the same spirit of his exclusive collections.
This morning I watched the beautiful video of the house tour on a local TV station and I really wanted to share it with you!
It is a Dutch spoken video but you really don’t need to understand the Dutch language to enjoy this vido.
So, sit down, relax, click on the image below, open your computer on full screen and ENJOY !
I wish you all a fantastic Autumn weekend !!!
xx

Every photo is more fabulous than the next.
ReplyDeleteI have to go back and spend at least an hour and just enjoy each one.
* In the US, an "out house" used to be the toilet that was outside of the house. A long time ago when many (poor) people had no plumbing.
Hello Greet,
ReplyDeleteWe have missed your post this week, but today you give us a post full of good ideas and inspiration to decorate our house this autumn.
Thank you for giving us so many images full of beauty,
I hope that you are spending a great and rested weekend,
Cecilia
I had to laugh when I read your opening line of “outhouse” in New England that’s a toilet…lol. But thankfully I understood the extension part and what a lovely wonderful part it is! Fall is my favorite time of year, love the light it’s so mysterious. Funny but your previous post on Edouard Vermeulen was my introduction into the world of blogs, it was the very first blog post I had ever seen, so thank you. Love, LOVE his home, it’s stunning!
ReplyDeleteGreet... your headline really caught my attention... and I had to laugh out loud!
ReplyDeleteSpending the weekend in an out-house conjures up visions of someone in a previous century without indoor plumbing, whose own personal plumbing had issues...
But your out houses are awesome! Fabulous photos... and I can't wait to see the video. ~Terri
Ok my friends, I have replaced out-house by outbuilding!

Greet, I ALWAYS love reading your lovely posts, but this has to be one of my all time favorites. I had to save almost every image for future inspiration. Every single room is just incredible. Just the way we all long to live. Surrounded by warmth and beauty. Thanks soooo much. Have a great weekend. Mona
ReplyDeleteHi Greet: I haven't been posting like a good bloggy girl, but I'm doing a guest post, I think today on Velvet and Linen, so I'm leaving Bobby McAlpine up, so that her readers can see it, and my readers can see my post at her place. So confusing. I love the conservatory houses, I see you've been set straight on the out house concept in America. I'm curious if they are a big deal to heat, or if they get very hot in the summer. I love the one with the stenciled floor on the tile. That is a new idea for me. Also, in the video, the EV manor house is a spectacular juxtaposition of immaculate and old. The balance between modern and traditional is perfection, but it feels a bit impersonal more like a hotel. Not to say it isn't beautiful, just slightly cold. Do you feel the same way? I'll come back and check.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Liz
Greet, I love your fabulous images and think that outdoor spaces and conservatories are wonderful. Stunning examples!

Such a wonderful way to start my Saturday, Greet! You made up for the week, and the rooms and the video are absolutely beautiful! The walls and molding, not to mention everything else about the gorgeous home, were over-the-top beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Teresa
Lovely! But they are missing a few shutters though :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are forgiven my dear...seems we are all so busy right now and hopefully that is a very good thing. You more than redeem yourself with the wonderful double treat you served up for us here. I would be sheer delight to settle into any one of these gorgeous orangeries. The perfect interlude between the in and out of doors. And oh the video! while I don't speak Dutch, these beautiful and amazing images are understood and appreciated in any language. Hope you are enjoying a wonderful Autumn weekend.

Thank you ! Thank you! These images are wonderful and the video made my week.
ReplyDeleteHello Greet!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this feast for my eyes...so much beauty. I loved watching the video and was hoping that after spending four years in a boarding school in Holland in my youth I would still be able to understand Dutch. Unfortunately, that was not the case! I was so upset that I could not understand what Mr. Vermuelen was saying about about the use of white in his home! As I look at these beautiful homes in Belgium I always wonder what you all think about Restoration Hardware catalogue version of it. I actually see very little resemblance between RH version and these elegant interiors. Thank you Greet for always giving us a peek at what is happening in Europe - it is very, very inspiring.

Greet,
ReplyDeleteI could not get the video to work. Is anyone else having that problem? His house is one of my all time favorites and I really want to see the video.
I enjoyed both your pictures and the video (I wonder, does Edouard Vermeulen speak Dutch with a Belgian accent?). His house is lovely, though I confess I was wondering where his radio, TV, telephone, microwave, and fridge were! What meterial is the staircase made of?
ReplyDeleteMeeting you has been a great pleasure
ReplyDeleteVisiting you I have dreamt living in that beautiful and lovely house,Thanks for let me do it
